When we decided to spend 24 hours at Santa Teresa, we were to Costa Rica.
We had begun our journey and so are now to Santa Teresa thanks.
The BEST restaurant at Playa Carmen, Palms down, After we Came to the Santa Teresa area, we stopped to eat at Product C Fish Market.
We ordered two lemonade’s with rum along with two fish bowls. Great all about, and do not miss this place because you push Santa Teresa.
After we were done eating we began to walk around the Playa Carmen Commercial Center. Apart from Product C, the center has stores and many different restaurants, such as a jewelry shop. They sell exquisite custom made jewelry and we ended up buying a silver necklace and chatting with the owner, Esteban Monseratt.
Don’t forget to check out JetSet LifeStyle Blog!
He also told us over in Santa Teresa that we ought to check out named Selina Hostel after telling Esteban that we had to stay that night. We drove over to Selina at Santa Teresa.
Selina Santa Teresa is the largest hostel on the street and is more of a 4 story playground. Selina is greater than a hostel. It is.
The Hostel was everything we can ask for, it had a whole schedule of events and an awesome vibe. We opted to get a Suite for the night and were amazed that this Hostel felt more like a Resort. I would recommend this hostel to anybody. They have tropical rooms for you as well as rooms together with A/C and your buddies if you would like to talk about. Selina certainly is the best hostel at Santa Teresa.
Did I mention that it’s a 1 minute walk to the beach? Not just any beach. Santa Teresa Beach. Come here for sundown and make sure to thank me. What an incredible experience.
We were really tired that night so that we went to bed to make sure and catch up early in the afternoon to visit with a secret cave which everyone talked about at Mal Pais. The thing here is that we had our 4×4, so we made our way and hopped on in. After a short walk we reached that the”secret cave”. We spent about an hour here relaxing with the rocks and taking photos. Make sure when you see Selina, to ask about this cave, they understand everything about it.
We headed over to Playa Hermosa for another stunning sunset and scheduled a surf lesson when we arrived back to Selina Hostel.
This time around, from Selina Hostel, Lore, because of our surf instructor , we do considerably better. Lore is the most experienced surfer chick anywhere near Santa Teresa along with a surfer. We’d love to thank her very much for bringing people here. Theres nothing quite like browsing during sundown on the Nicoya Peninsula.
We would again like to thank for making this an amazing experience Selina Hostel. Look no farther when reserving a stay. Pura Vida!

The markets of thailand really are equally lively, exciting and a part of the neighborhood culture. Eliminating the flurry and sensations of a floating market from a long-tail boat is really a way to spend a morning. The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is roughly a hour and a half drive from Bangkok. Although it has become quite the tourist attraction, it’s a completely functional marketplace with souvenirs meals, clothing, along with fresh produce. If you do not wish to see using a bunch, your resort can help hire you a personal driver/ cab to carry you both manners (approximately $60 USD but prices can differ ). Plan to leave at 6 or 6:30 a.m. and eat breakfast in the marketplace. Vendors sell stir-fried dishes pancakes, spring rolls, fresh fruit, and noodle dishes, as you see the marketplace which you can eat on the ship.
Koh Lanta Island
This particular market fills up fast with tourists by mid-morning, therefore it’s necessary to arrive early to avoid the boat traffic. The purchase price for a long ship tour will run you an additional $60 USD. The tour includes several stops in a processing plant that is coconut and souvenir stalls life. If you aren’t interested in any of these (truthfully, I did not like them) and also want to only go to the current marketplace, notify the broker in the pier and then work out an arrangement. English isn’t generally spoken by the ship captains. Don’t forget your camera and bring money.
Monkey Temples of Lopburi
NOTE: There are lots of Thailand tours available that include Bangkok Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, and several different locations across the country.

The creatures which live here were created in captivity. They are fed twice each day and spend the day playing with their keepers and among themselves.
The tigers don’t pose a danger, Because they are hand-raised. To dispel some myths about Tiger Kingdom: these critters are NOT drugged, zero tranquilizers or sedatives. Should they so desired, they are bright-eyed, active, healthy, and might inflict a fair amount of damage. Guests will be escorted through the park in any way times That said. A day spent with all the tigers in Tiger Kingdom is still something you won’t forget. Fifteen minutes at each tiger enclosure will run you about $60 USD.

The layout of the White Temple does not match the styles of Buddhist temples all over Thailand, and that has been the artist’s objective. Chalermchai has created a representation of everything he sees are barriers to the road of enlightenment.
He chose white rather than the normal gold to represent the pure character of the Buddha. His usage of mirror fragments in the mosaics symbolize wisdom. The White Temple is a thought provoking art piece and place of worship from start to finish. Around the temple you will find souvenir shops, coffee shops, and restaurants. The hill tribe villages of Thailand are famous for their colorful dress, handmade crafts, and customs that were special. The hill tribes which reside in the outskirts of Chiang Rai include the Akha, Lahu, Palong, Lu Mien Yao, along with also the Karen”Long Neck” people. You are able to see them location a short drive away from Chiang Rai’s city center. With one entry ticket, guests can stroll through the cities and meet the tribe’s members. The Karen Long Neck Tribe’s women have the appearance that is most striking . These coils may weigh around 30 lbs!
Visiting with the hill tribes may be an embarrassing experience for all. You are essentially paying to walk around and take pictures of strangers. Every village will attempt to sell you their crafts, and even you will feel pressured although there is no obligation to buy. It may not be for everyone although it was a strange, exotic, and distinctive experience. I felt like their community was supported by my ticket, and that I am going to state it was worth it. In addition, the women were keen to pose for photos.
The Golden Triangle Park is an area about 45 minutes North West of Chiang Rai.
The harvest has since been eradicated in the region, although for many decades it was a significant opium manufacturing region. Stop by the Golden Triangle monument (envisioned ), then head to the Hall of Opium Museum down the road. The museum has been commissioned by the Thai royal family in their efforts to educate the general public on its effects on opium users and the opium industry’s history.
It is one of the most museums in the country and contains several displays, film clips, film clips, photos, pipes, tools, and advice. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. Entry is 300 THB per man. There are several restaurants along the primary road between the city and also the Hall of Opium Museum, most of which have river views.
In 300 square km, Khao Yai National Park is the biggest national park in Thailand. It’s also the country’s oldest national park and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Most people come for the day or weekend that is long to find a break from Bangkok. Khao Yai is home to many animal and plant species, however, the 3 major attractions of the park are all Asian dinosaurs, white-handed gibbons (pictured), along with also the giant hornbill.
Khao Yai is among the few areas in which the gibbons are protected by poachers, and where Asian elephants still roam free. Gibbons are vulnerable because during Thailand because baby gibbons are utilised to find cash from tourists who would like to get their pictures. Oftentimes poachers will need to kill the babies’ families before they can get to them.
Khao Yai includes a paved road, along with also 50 km of hiking trails, most of which require physical fitness. We recommend a visit with a guide if you wish to find out more about the plants and animals of the park, in addition to have a much better chance at spotting them. Green Leaf Tours supplies cheap, the manuals as well as educational excursions are animal spotters. Khao Yai boasts a massive dining pavilion with local foods, restrooms, campgrounds, and a visitor center. Other playground people include macaques (constantly drifting around the picnic tables), water monitor lizards, sambar deer, and pythons. Khai Yai is a 2.5-hour drive from Bangkok. There are dozens of resorts and restaurants just outside the park along the primary road.
Koh Lanta is among the most pristine islands in Thailand, along with also an attractive destination for beach lovers. When compared with mass tourism and the beaches of Samui and Phuket, Koh Lanta offers a laid back setting and appeal. Koh Lanta beaches can be found along its western and southern coasts.
Bamboo Beach (pictured) is especially serene. Located in the southern end of Koh Lanta, this 500-meter-long beach is ideal for relaxing, snorkeling, and swimming. It has a beautiful lush forest background along with crystal-clear water. Bamboo Beach has three boutique-style hotels, therefore it’s never overcrowded. WATCH the Very Stay in Koh Lanta: Lalaanta Hideaway
Other attractions across Koh Lanta comprise Lanta Old Town and Koh Lanta National Park (plus has a beautiful sandy beach). Long Beach is also a favorite beach for the swimming, sunbathing, and restaurants. A word on transportation: When you arrive to Koh Lanta lots of tourists will be noticed by you . You will be told by the locals that they are excellent for getting around the island, however I must disagree. The island has lots of steep mountains, lush beaches, along with side roads. If you want to observe the main attractions, then do your self a favor and hire a vehicle (approximately $30 USD each day). I found tourists pushing their scooters up hill on several occasions.
For an experience slightly off the tourist path, spend a morning exploring the temples of Lopburi. The city is famous for its ancient ruins, most of which are have not been restored and is situated 150 km northeast of Bangkok. Contrary to Ayutthaya and Sukothai’s historic parks, the ruins of Lopburi are more spread out and may take additional effort to see all of them. The draw people that are temples, however, Lopburi’s resident monkeys are. The city is literally overrun with hundreds of macaques that are rambunctious. Most of them are concentrated around the two major temples — Phra Prang Sam Yot and Phra Kaan Shrine (across the street from one another).
The macaques are everywhere! Dangling in the poles, crossing the street, scaling the temple walls, and always watching for scraps of food. The monkeys are fed regularly. Across the street in Phra Prang Sam Yot, the reptiles have additional space to bully and play tourists out of their bites. You can not leave anything on the ground which you wouldn’t want a monkey to grab. I wouldn’t suggest this, although locals will attempt to sell you juice and food to feed into the monkeys. Pandemonium will ensue if you have food, and these monkeys aren’t scared to leap on people’s shoulders or grab food directly out of your hand. The best thing to do would be come an admire the monkeys… in a distance. WATCH Exploring Lopburi’s Monkey Temple
It would be a shame not to go through the Phang Nga Bay if you find yourself in Phuket. Infamous because the launch of films like Roger Moore’s”The Man with the Golden Gun” and Leonardo Di Caprio’s”The Beach,” the bay is also famous for its odd limestone rock formations, emerald waters, and ideal year-round swimming circumstances.
Phang Nga Bay is Situated between Phuket and southern Thailand’s Malay peninsula.
Sailing around will reveal coves , lush cliffs, secluded beaches, lagoons, and breathtaking limestone islands. Most sailing excursions include canoeing, snorkeling, swimmingpools, and lunch as part of their itinerary.
Because they include a halt into the Koh Panyi fishing village for delicious seafood lunch along with an intriguing walking tour, we like Captain Mark’s Choice Tours. A day sailing in Phang Nga Bay is an absolute must for the initial Thai Vacation of anyone.

Sukhothai was the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam in 1238 to 1438. The Sukhothai Historical Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with a location to explore by bicycle, vehicle, or walking tour. Within the park there are several structures that are currently imposing. These include Wat Mahatat, the park’s largest temple (pictured), also the odd three-pillared Wat Si Sawai temple, and Pra Achana Buddha in Wat Si Chun. WATCH Where to Stay in Sukhothai, Thailand: Le Charme Hotel
These three stand out and are rather impressive, although these are undoubtedly the only real ones. A complete day to explore sukothai Historical Park requires. Additionally, this is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you will find more temples, Buddha statues, along with chedis.

Inside this edition of Celebrity Travel Addicts, we talk with Laurence and Jessica Norah, the couple supporting the popular travel blogs Independent Traveling Cats and Finding the Universe. We and they talk about their travel adventures that are early, their advice for their final fantasy destinations people who wish to journey, plus more. Learn what things they can’t do without and where they’re headed!
How did your passion for travel begin?
We have slightly different”origin” stories obviously, although we’ve both enjoyed travel from a young age. Laurence is from the United Kingdom and Jessica is from the USA.
Just how are you currently traveling in any given calendar year? What are the sorts of places you like to visit?
The travel of laurence started when he was young, since his parents lived in the Seychelles, and they traveled along as a household. Jess’s first big trip abroad was once when she was 16, also headed to Paris.
The two of you live near Edinburgh, Scotland. What makes Scotland such a travel destination? What do you suggest people do when they visit?
Since we met in 2014, we’ve traveled and worked on our blogs full time.
You guys run two travel blogs — Independent Traveling Cats and Finding the Universe. Could you please tell us a bit about them? What makes them stick out among all the travel content on the market?
We keep saying that we’re likely to attempt to travel less, but we think of head and experiences off again! But we probably spend something like 4 — 6 weeks of each year traveling. Presently, we mostly divide that between the USA continental Europe, and the united kingdom. We love to visit national parks — towns to the cultural attractions, and an assortment of places and also the country for hiking and landscape photography opportunities.
What do you want viewers learn and to profit from your work?
Scotland is a fantastic destination for a variety of reasons. The towns have a good deal of cultural activities, from the famous Fringe Festival in August, through to theaters, museums and more. Then there are the landscapes. A road trip across Scotland North Coast 500 driving road, or a visit to the Isle of Skye, or even a trip which takes in a number of whiskey distilleries — there’s just so much to see and enjoy!
How many countries have you visited up to now?
We usually recommend individuals who go to plan to spend a little bit of time exploring Edinburgh (see our guide on what to do in Edinburgh) and then head out to explore the outside of Should they have additional hours, we also suggest visiting with the other cities.
What are your top 3 favourite cuisines?
We do! We actually started our blogs until we chose to keep going with the two of them, and met each other. Laurence started Discovering the Universe and Jess started Independent Travel Cats in 2013. The goal of the blogs is to supply readers with all the information they will need to plan their trip — whether that’s Mardi Gras in New Orleans, a visit to the Eiffel Tower, or even a road trip in California!
Who’s your travel companion?
We are always pleased to answer questions and comments from our subscribers and also discuss standard travel tips and photography tips on our blogs.
What’s the perfect way to kill time?
Two things actually — we want to help our readers aim excellent trips of their own, whatever their funding or travel style. We also wish to help them get photos out of their trips.
What’s your best bit of travel tips for someone who wishes to, or is about to, embark on a life of travel?
We don’t maintain an exact tally, and we prefer to visit each country quite thoroughly. Probably around 40 or even 50 between people.
What are without?
We adore a selection of food, hard to pick favorites. Laurence is a big fan of the food in the Seychelles, that involves a good deal of fresh fish, rice, and curry. Jess actually loves Mediterranean food.
What’s your ultimate dream destination?
We nearly always travel and have been because 2014. So given that we’re still able to accomplish this, we would say each other! Obviously, we’re not saying it’s all roses all of the time — travel can be stressful — but we make it function.
What’s your travel quote?
We have hardly any downtime, however we like to read books or see a movie if we’ve got a spare moment.
Where are you headed?
If you want to do it, you should do it. Our advice is to definitely attempt to have some economies to traveling out of, or any transferrable skills which it is possible to make a living out of as you go. It’s also important to remember that a life of travel, like everything, has downs and ups. Returning home after travelling long term can be jarring, and although there’s not too much you can do about this that people’s lives can proceed without you’re important to keep in mind.
Our passports, cameras, notebooks (we make our dwelling from travel) plus a smartphone.
For Laurence it’s Antarctica (heading therein 2021), for Jess it’d most likely be back to Tanzania in Africa.
I may not have gone where I meant to go, but I believe I’ve ended up where I intended to be. (Douglas Adams)
We’re heading into Turkey and then spending some time.

The streets are well paved. They were performed over the last 9 years. They were dirt streets. They eloquent and cut your travel time, Since they’re paved! We passed through the town of Tamarejo, Suriname, that is Javanese. We stopped in a place called Warung Lenny, which sells Surinamese Indonesian street food.
There were at least 20 different things to choose from! I started with a few pommesitair juice, which tasted quite healthful. It was very refreshing! Then I received my feast, such as two types of pasta, noodles, beans, sprouts, peanut dressing, a chili sauce, fried banana, and chicken.
The banana with the peanut sauce was delicious! It was on the outside and soft in the center. Although the chili sauce has been crazy spicy, the sauce was creamy and spicy! I really don’t recommend that one. But the peanut sauce produced the fried banana feel as a dessert and was really yummy. My head was being blown by the Surinamese black street food!
The chicken was so distinct and exceptionally refreshing . It was juicier, more tender, and the skin has been crunchier. I loved it with the peanut sauce!
The noodles reminded me and were a little peppery and fatty. They were a little thick and softer than al dente. The sprouts were crunchy and refreshing, and the beans were likewise fresh! There were also some rice with soy sauce and some bigger green beans. I added the rice and the peanut sauce together. The balls of peanuts with the greens were phenomenal! I added the veg, which took it to another level and a few!
I finished up by mixing it and ditching the remaining portion of the peanut sauce into the rice and veg. Spice and the sweetness was an intriguing combination I had never had before and I loved it! This is some of the very best food I had had in Suriname so far! Surinamese Indonesian road food is outstanding and must be tried should you encounter here.
From there, we headed on. We discovered a roadside hut in which a woman was selling vegetables such as eggplant, beans, and sour melon. The melon lived up to the title, as it was very crispy and bitter. We saw lots of bush along the road’s side and continued our driveway. We stopped at the other roadside hut, at which a snapshot of 90 proof alcohol tried and crossed another bridge! Ithas been powerful and’s an aphrodisiac! I ate a few fresh coconut tea and also drank fresh coconut water!
After riding for a bit further, we got a few new acai sip and stopped back. It captured around me as I tried to consume it and was earthy and super thick! Because we continued deeper into the wilderness, we drove into a foggy rainstorm. We could see anything but it only lasted two minutes!
We arrived in the small town of Albina after passing shacks, a few conventional buildings, supermarkets, a college, and a great deal of jungle! It was along the lake, and was French Guyana. From there, we’d take a ferry north into the Atlantic Ocean to achieve Galibi.
I hope you enjoyed joining me during my trip to Albina on my Surinamese Indonesian road food adventure! If you did, then please give this movie a thumbs up and make a comment below. Testaccio is often skipped by visitors to Rome but there is actually quite a few touristic things. The neighborhood isn’t far away from Rome’s more hip places, but has plenty to offer for tourists and locals alike. I discovered the Rome neighborhood on a excursion on my very first day in the Eternal City.
Because Testaccio was a low-class neighborhood on the outskirts of early Rome, the region has been home to numerous industries. During ancient times the Romans utilized amphorae vases to keep olive oil but on account of this oil’s corrosive qualities, each amphorae needed to be discarded after being used. These amphorae inevitably built up in the Testaccio neighborhood and eventually the place became a garbage dump for broken amphorae. By the 300s, olive oil has been transported and stored in various ways but the broken testae (or fragments in the broken amphorae) stayed.
Food in Testaccio
The mound was covered with dirt in parts, but it’s still possible to see shards of early pottery. The mound is projected to have as many as 50 million testae that would have saved more than 6 billion liters of olive oil!
Another Fascinating tourist site in the Testaccio neighborhood is the Cemetery called the Non-Catholic Cemetery for Foreigners.
The cemetery has traditionally been the burial home for most of the non-catholics in Rome. Most noteworthy would be the English poets John Keats and Percy Shelley.
Keats’ grave is especially noteworthy because there’s no name on it:”This is one whose name was writ in water.” Keats, ever the English Romantic, was not recognized for his work during his lifetime and died at the age of 25.
Is a brand new dating back to 12 BC. The pyramid was built as a tomb for Caius Cestius.
Because the region has been a blue-collar place, there are lots of traditional restaurants and food markets. The most important meals market has more than 70 food stalls–everything from Carmelo that the Tomato Poet to seafood mongers.
Just around the corner in the current industry is the renowned Volpetti gourmet food shop which has over 150 unique varieties of cheese. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, attempt Flavio al Velavevodetto (website). They’re renowned for their Rigatoni alla Carbonara recipe– even a Rome dish that is very local.
